Choctaw Electric Update AM edition 1-25-2026

As of 7:30am January 25, 2026, Choctaw Electric has approximately 900 members without power and 22,000 with power - that is 4% of the CEC membership without power.

The system has held up extremely well under the current conditions.  McCurtain County made national news with the extreme weather conditions we have had the past two days and even though it wasn’t ideal we are extremely proud of our dedicated employee’s diligence and passion to restore members’ power. 

Contracting crews worked through the night, and CEC crews returned this morning to begin in the following areas: Garvin, Haworth, Broken Bow/Craig Road area, Tablerville, Sweethome Community, Merry Highway, Hollycreek, as well as scattered outages throughout the system. 

Yesterday’s challenges were reworking many outages due to weather and today crews will be condensed in areas with multiple outages making sure that safety remains in the forefront.
